I designed this project with the whimsical themed paper from Echo Park. I love the colors and graphics in the paper collection and the variety of cut outs. I haven’t found this collection online as of yet. I have had it in my paper stash from some time. However, you may want to search to see if you can locate a retailer selling the collection.
The base of the project is a dishwasher filter that I found at my local hardware store. It was on clearance for under $2.00 and I knew I could make something out of it. I used additional chipboard to build up the base and support the metal feet.
I used Prima Marketing’s Art Alchemy Sparks Acrylic Paint which added an eerie look to the overall project. Additional elements include pieces of a rot iron gate that I took from my Silhouette cut file library. The page base pockets are done with a simple fold at the top and the bottom half attaches to the filter “fins”.
