Happy New Year to all!

Just getting back in my craft room and working on projects.

Last fall at the ScrapNCreate Retreat in San Clemente, California, I had the opportunity to meet the wonderfully creative Martha Jackson, who inspired me with her woodworking talents and designs. I was able to purchase a few earring bases from her collection and decided to see what I could come up with.

For this first pair of earrings, I used a variety of FolkArt Acrylic Paints and Liquitex Pouring Medium.

I will be posting more earring and jewelry pieces using my acrylic pour designs soon.

Christmas is over and I can now share the gift I designed for my siblings.

I designed this birthday reminder because throughout the year inevitably someone calls to confirm or inquiry about a birthday.

The photo is a little grainy. I swiped it from my sister-in-law’s thank you text. I hadn’t quite finished the one for my home.

I used Silhouette Design #18658 “Swirls” and a rectangle drawn in my Silhouette software to create the base. I used a variety of mixed media pastes from Art Alchemy to create the metal affect on the Silhouette chipboard. I used Silhouette Design #16857 “Circle Tag” and merged the family member’s information onto the tag.

Using jump rings from my jewelry supplies, I attached each tag by family group. The last tag as a bead charm I created to weight the row and stop the tags from flipping around.

Been busy with family visiting for the holidays, cleaning, and squeezing in some holiday crafting. Whew!

I decided to make holiday gifts for our new neighbors.

I used elements from my Silhouette library to decorate the cups and cup holders (#355500, #34959, #34958, #34960, #35501). I also used a 2019 calendar (#273759) download from Silhouette.

Wrapped the goodies with some sweets, and they are ready to go! Can’t believe I’ll have time to bake this year.

I needed a little something for our loft space for the holidays. I wanted to keep it simple as to not get Max and Rocky’s attention, they are very curious cats.

For this decor design, I used the Merry 3D Box Ensemble cut file from Silhouette America and Snapdragon Snippets #107860.

I chose Echo Park Paper Company and Lori Whitlock’s “I Love Christmas” paper collection. I wanted a rustic look to the individual ornaments and overall calendar design.

The mini gifts were made out of small matchboxes. I used my scallop StampnUp punch to cut the tags.

I used greenery, a fun tree, and ribbon from my local Michael’s store to finish off the project.

I updated our monthly calendar with a holiday theme.

I used a variety of 3D Layered Ornament cut files (104959,104962,104968,104974, and 104983) from Silhouette America and Jamie Cripps. I modified the files to downsize each ornament in order for them to fit in the frame.

Mini matchboxes are the base for the gifts.I added a small tag to each gift by punching at a scallop tag from some of the designer papers. I added holiday greenery from Michael’s, and mad a festive bow with ribbon also purchased from Michael’s to finish off the calendar.

The paper I chose was from Echo Park Paper Company and Lori Whitlock, “I Love Christmas”. I really loved the colors and whimsical themes in this collection.
