Holiday Decor Idea #1

I updated our monthly calendar with a holiday theme.

I used a variety of 3D Layered Ornament cut files (104959,104962,104968,104974, and 104983) from Silhouette America and Jamie Cripps. I modified the files to downsize each ornament in order for them to fit in the frame.

Mini matchboxes are the base for the gifts.I added a small tag to each gift by punching at a scallop tag from some of the designer papers. I added holiday greenery from Michael’s, and mad a festive bow with ribbon also purchased from Michael’s to finish off the calendar.

The paper I chose was from Echo Park Paper Company and Lori Whitlock, “I Love Christmas”. I really loved the colors and whimsical themes in this collection.

#G45Card Challenge Entry – “Twelve Days of Christmas” Shaker Card

Happy Holidays Everyone!

I am sharing my Graphic 45 November Challenge entry, #G45Card today. For this challenge, I used the beautiful “Twelve Days of Christmas” paper collection and elements from Graphic 45.

I created a shaker card with one of the 4” x 6” cut a part element from the collection, a sheet of acetate, assorted green and iridescent sequins, and fine gold glitter. I embellished with a touch of gold cardstock on a green background to compliment the colors in the paper and used small chipboard and sticker elements from the collection.

On the “Deck the Halls” side of the card, I used a beautiful holiday inspired burlap ribbon and fashioned a small bow with tails. The ribbon was purchased at my local Michael’s store.

Lastly, I used a Sign Holder from Darice to display the card.

I look forward to sharing more card ideas with you throughout this holiday season.

#G45DarkSide Challenge – “Halloween in Wonderland”

I came up with this last minute design for the #G45DarkSide Challenge. I chose Graphic 45 “Halloween in Wonderland” because of the deep, and dark, rich colors in this beautiful Halloween themed collection.

G45Halloween1

For this project, I used Recollections Memory Tray. I distressed the tray using Liquitex Gesso, Prima Marketing Sparks Acrylic Paints and Rust Effect Past, and Liquitex Mars Black Acrylic Paint. Additionally, I used Prima Marketing Art Stones in some of the tray corners.

I fussy cut pieces from the paper collection. I added stacked branch elements from a Silhouette cut file (#6893) and a 3D tree from the Silhouette Ledge (#66039) Village cut file. I applied Liquitex Paint (Cadmium Red Deep Hue and Mars Black) to a puffy heart and added some chain and clock elements. I distressed some keys from my Bead Landing jewelry supplies.

I distressed the memory tray handle with the same Prima products and added ribbon from S.E.I. “Eerie Alley” and black tulle from my sewing supplies. I added finishing touches with the chipboard elements that come with the Deluxe Collector’s Edition of “Halloween in Wonderland”.

I really loved the way this project design turned out. It will make a great edition to my Halloween home décor.

I hope it inspires you to create.

3D Witch Project from Silhouette

I really fell in love with this project when Silhouette (Design #93621 and 93624) introduced it around 2015. It’s taken me about three years to complete her (priorities), however I love that I finished the project and now she can be displayed for Halloween!

There is so much about the project, it is hard to describe.

Snapdragon Snippets (Needles ‘n’ Knowledge), I will add link below, created a truly fun design for this witch. A bat crown, stars and moon banner, funky boots, and utterly charming outfit highlighted with bat wings!
