The design of this project I created was inspired by the #G45Upcycle challenge a few months ago in which I upcycled a cigar box using Graphic 45 City Scapes.
I knew I would eventually make a full album using this beautiful paper collection and started drafting the album layout in my mind.
You can watch a video of this project on my YouTube channel. I have added links below to some of the products I used to create this project.
This is a wide-format album. It is approximately 12” tall and 5 ¼” wide. The pages are approximately 11” long. I really wanted to make this wide-format album with lots of real estate for photos and memorabilia from your travels.
I’ve made travel journals before, they never seemed to work for me. I simply did not use them while I was traveling. So, when designing this album, I thought about the features I would want in an album that I would have on the ready to use while I was on vacation. I think this album does the trick. I will be taking this album with me when I travel to Canada in a few weeks. Kind of a “test run” to see if I use it as I had envisioned.
As you can see, it is full of foldouts, pockets and places to store tickets, maps, photos and journaling. There are six pages with 1/4″ flaps on each page for added photo space.
