Been absent from my blog. I have been working on projects with Graphic 45 Imagine collection. Hope to post soon.
In the meantime, I have also been working on organizing my craft room. About six months ago, my husband and I purchased a new home. Although I have moved my craft items and supplies into the room, I had not begun to organize. Last night I created these labels for the magazine holders that store my packaged supplies. Below are links to some the sources.
To achieve the look I wanted on the labels, I used a Silhouette label cut file. I created the text and removed the cut lines, then grouped the label and the text into one print and cut file. After printing the labels on medium weight cardstock, I ran it through on my Cameo. The even though the labels were “chalk” I the cut file, they still looked a little dark. So, I took some chalk and ran it across each label. I then took a soft paper napkin and removed some of the chalk to reveal a more chalkboard-like look. I used square adhesive pop dots to apply the labels to the magazine holders. I have a bank of IKEA Kallax bookcases (I’ll share a video of my craft room soon), that I store these in.
