Capitol Chic Designs Paper Collection – Planner Album Design Project

Really excited to share with you my latest design project!

For this project, I used a new paper collection I discovered from Capitol Chic Designs. I was familiar with CCD through their planner products. However, I did not know that CCD also had a 12″ X 12″ paper pad! I just had to use this collection in my new design.

I am calling my design a “Planner Album” because it includes elements from the planner world and mini album world.

The album base is from Graphic 45. It is their 6 X 8 X 3in Ivory Rectangle Tag & Pocket Album. I really love the size of this album. It has very generous spacing between the page sections.

Some of the design elements incorporated in this planner album include tracker inserts, large tags for journaling or photos, flip pages, year-at-a-glance calendar insert, month by month flip pages, sticker elements from Capitol Chic Designs, and lots of additional pockets.

Just a quick post and tutorial for my latest design project!

For this project, I used a Graphic 45 Square Ivory Tag Album.

In the tutorial, I show you how to put the album together and provide design inspiration. No dialog in the tutorial, just written instruction prompts and lots of photos to help you follow along as you create your tag mini album.

PhotoPlay “Moments In Time” KeepSake Mini Album

Just finished a new mini album design! I am calling it a “keepsake” mini album because of the keepsake details I incorporated into the album design.

The Moments In Time paper collection is a lovely set of 12 X 12 double-sided printed papers, a 12 X 12 sticker sheet, and two 12 X 12 sheets of cut a parts.

The first keepsake element is on the front cover of the album. An acetate window and top slot gives access to adding your favorite cards, memorabilia, ticket stubs, receipts, or any other items commemorating your memories. A convenient flap keeps all the items safe and secure.

The second keepsake is a small window box in the back inside of the album. Here too, you can keep small items you wish to retain in the album. The accordion pleated box sides allows for some expansion.

The page spine is credited to FollowThePaperTrail by Laura Denison Designs (https://youtu.be/C85xgZVAiSU). Quite a unique and different way to place your album pages. I particularly like the flexibility in removing or interchanging the pages easily.

Pyramid Explosion Mini Album Tutorial Post

I have uploaded a tutorial on my YouTube channel and under “tutorials” on this blog for the pyramid explosion mini album I designed and created. You may have seen the first pyramid explosion mini album I made a month or two ago using Graphic 45 “Baby2Bride”.

For this tutorial, I used the beautifully designed “Time is an Illusion” paper collection from Stamperia.

For this tutorial, I used a new video editing software. I hope to improve as I create more videos with the software, thus enhancing your viewing experience. So, thanks in advance for your patience. 🙂

The tutorial project introduces you to new embellishment features as well as new and improved techniques used in creating the mini album and overall design.

Some of the products I used are from Tim Holtz (chain tassels), Prima Marketing Inc (hardware), and Bead Landing (Found Objects – gears).
