With May and Mother’s Day just around the corner, I wanted to create a floral photo display that would be timeless. For this project, I designed a potted “steampunk” flower. I was inspired by the beautiful paper collection “Time is an Illusion” by @Stamperia.
This design came together using a wide range of mixed materials, from metal, to paper, paints, pastes, and recycled items. Cardstock was used for the flower petals, a ®Celebrate Treat Cup Set was used for the pot, a stem from a silk plant – for the flower stem, styrofoam ball for the flower base, and lots of ®Liquitex Gesso and Blended Fibers for texture. It all comes to life with Prima Marketing Inc. and Finnabair ®Rust Effect Paste, Patina Effect Paste, and Opal Magic.

Easter is fast approaching, so what better way to quickly make some décor pieces than with Silhouette America and Snapdragon Snippets. These Easter Eggs were created using three cut-file designs (291232, 291233, and 291234).
I finished off each egg with some beads from my jewelry making supplies. I love how these turned out. I definitely could use them for another holiday, or just for every day home décor. Walnut Stain Distress Ink from Ranger was used lightly on each egg to reduce or eliminate the white core on the paper edges.

I am so delighted to have an opportunity to submit my design entry to Graphic 45. This is my first time ever submitting a Graphic 45 Brand Ambassador entry!
I chose a variety of Graphic 45 products to create this design. First, let me start by saying “Flutter” is a stunningly beautiful paper collection! The representation of color, floral design, moths/butterflies, and of course beetles is outstanding and lent itself to this design so beautifully.

The Deep Rectangle Matchbook Box from Graphic 45 provided the perfect fit for size album I designed and created with plenty of additional space for lots of photos and memorabilia.
I used a variety of Prima Marketing Inc./Finnabair Patina, Opal Magic, and Metallique pastes and pastes to add color to the box. Liquitex Gesso and Blended Fibers for the foundation and texture was added for the base texture.
Flowers and leaves/stems were created using the Graphic 45 Large Tag, ATC Tag & Flower Metal Die set. I chose several different shades of green cardstock to add variety in color. I complimented the greenery with different shades of cardstock for the flowers. The centers of the flowers were embellished with a variety of “bling” elements from Queen & Company and Want2Scrap. I fussy cut tiny white flowers from the Iridescent paper and used my blossom shaper to pop the petals up. A few additional flowers from 49 And Market added variety. The colorful moths and butterflies were fussy cut from the Iridescent paper. I shaped the wings to add movement and interest.
The 5 ¼” X 7 ¼” mini album has a chipboard base and three-page units. The solid cardstock used was Recollections brand. Each page unit features pockets for tags and photos, magnet elements, and punch pockets for even more photos, journaling cards or memorabilia. The size of the album fits perfectly in the matchbook box providing enough space in the album for even more embellishments. Finally, a coordinating ribbon and large brads finish off the spine of the album. A bit of simplicity to compliment the lovely design motifs in the paper.
I wish to thank Graphic 45 for inspiring my design and creativity with “Flutter”. I look forward to creating another project design with this collection.
Every month I decorate a wall calendar with Silhouette featured cut file. The calendar greets family and friends when they enter our home through the garage.
For the month of April, I created this “April Showers/May Flowers” themed calendar. I used an array of gorgeous floral designs from Jamie Lane Designs, print-and-cut “April Showers” message with an adorable girl with her umbrella and rain boots. I added a variety of additional greenery, also from Silhouette cut files, to fill in the flowers.

Each calendar day is created with an over-sized rain drop from the cloud file that is positioned just above the girl. I used Ranger Ink/Tim Holtz Picket Fence Distress Ink to shade each rain drop on the calendar days.
Lastly, a print-and-cut Easter card marker marks the date that Easter falls on this month, and birthday markers for family and friend birthdays.
