#G45offthepage Challenge Project – Redesigned Rotating Guest Towel Holder

For this month’s Graphic 45 Challenge #G45offthepage, I took a guest towel holder (the “off the page element”) and converted it to a scrapbook photo display. I will be posting a tutorial/walk-through soon, so keep checking this blog or my YouTube channel.

SteampunkDeb-2

This project came to life because of the gorgeous Steampunk Debutante Deluxe Collector’s Edition papers, chipboard and sticker elements from Graphic 45.

I used a lot of Prima Marketing Inc. pastes and paints, and mini frame. Other elements are from Tim Holtz, 7Gypsies, Craftsmart acrylic chalk paint, and Finnabair Art Stones.

PhotoPlay “Vintage Girl” Lighted Vignette Shop Box

I designed this box vignette using the lovely paper, sticker, and ephemera collection, Vintage Girl from PhotoPlay Paper.

The base of the project is from a Graphic 45 Book Box and Tag set. In the photo below, you can see that I already started to draw the lines for where the window cut out will be.

I wanted this project to be really feminine and girly, so I kept the pink and black them with the added bead charm I crated using some pearls from Tim Holtz’s Baubles and pieces from my jewelry making supplies. I added ribbon from Melissa Frances and black tulle from my sewing supplies.

For a special and unique touch, I incorporated a small battery-operated light at the top of the box to illuminate the pretty scene inside the box. I used stickers from the paper collection along with acetate strips to give the illusion that the items inside were floating or on display.

The Graphic 45 tags came together by using the Graphic 45 tag die to mat each tag. I then selected papers and cut a parts from the paper collection to create the tag elements.
