Mint Tin Redesign – #G45Stamp

I designed this “steampunk” art piece for the #G45Stamp Challenge for the month of January.

I used a mint tin as my base, added some hardware, and used bits of the gorgeous Graphic 45 “Steampunk Debutante” papers. I used a variety of pastes and Art Stones from Finnabair ArtAlchemy to distress the tin.

The embossed stamp is from a collection Hampton Art did with Graphic 45. Not sure where I got it, but the stamp I chose worked great.

Jewelry Chest Redesign

Just completed a redesign of my jewelry chest. My wonderful husband gifted this chest to me several years ago. I knew I had to give it new life in the home we recently purchased. Teal is an accent color throughout our home, so I chose that as the base color.

I used Prima Marketing Inc products, Fuchsia Sunset Redesign Transfer and ArtAlchemy Metallique and Opal Magic Wax Cire Cera for the distressing. I used Craftsmart Multi-Surface Premium Chalky Acrylic Paint and finished off the chest with Krylon 18 Karat Gold for the hardware and Minwax Polycrylic.

It’s an amazing transformation that fully met my vision for the chest.

The products I chose truly exceeded my design expectations, and I look forward to working with these products on another project.

Acrylic Pour Earrings

Happy New Year to all!

Just getting back in my craft room and working on projects.

Last fall at the ScrapNCreate Retreat in San Clemente, California, I had the opportunity to meet the wonderfully creative Martha Jackson, who inspired me with her woodworking talents and designs. I was able to purchase a few earring bases from her collection and decided to see what I could come up with.

For this first pair of earrings, I used a variety of FolkArt Acrylic Paints and Liquitex Pouring Medium.

I will be posting more earring and jewelry pieces using my acrylic pour designs soon.
